Xeeta is a small planet evidently ten light-years away from earth. It is primarily a metal elemental planet and like the Zei, mostly chromium. There is no oxygen available on the planet but it has a gas core that all Zei also have within them (which is the exhaust they emit when their skin is broken) Because their bodies are heavier the gravity on Xeeta is lighter than it is on Earth. The planet itself is a very cool temperature. Not frozen cold, but cool. everything on Zei is uniform and symmetrical. Absolutely nothing stands out. There are no bodies or water, no plant life, no wild life. Aside from that, it's shiny as fuck and kind of pretty.
Zei
When the Zei are in their home,they do not wear clothing. Their most natural form is humanoid with silver reflective skin and vibrant aqua eyes. They do not have genitalia of any sort as their mating process is wildly different from human mating. This is part of the reason each Zei is identified by gender with either an 'ol or an 'al. There is no such thing as hetero or homo as, again, the mating process is different and does not require a male and a female role to perform reproduction.
Zei do not need fuel to continue functioning. They are completely self sufficient and while ingesting things will not likely harm them, it is not necessary. However the consumption of items will make them warm as the gas inside of them burns the items ingested. Zei, when overheated, will emit a gas and become weakened. They are strengthened in the cold.
Zei do not have many abnormal or supernatural powers. They regenerate, they assimilate the look of something, they live for a very long time and they are known to all have fairly high intelligence. Otherwise, they are not equipped with extra superpowers of any sort.
So how do the Zei mate? They literally melt together. One and another combine themselves and then split in to three. The third is their offspring. This process takes traits from both parties and puts them in to another body.
The beginning of the Zei
There are many legions to how the Zei came about. Most of them point to the Zei being the first and primary source of chromium and all things that now contain it which is a testament to their age and how far they have spread. It is quite possible, considering the nature of their mating process, that those which require chromium or have chromium of any form within their bodies trace back to the Zei in some very long ago fashion.
In the beginning, Zei were not peaceful beings. They were tyrants; wild, hungry for power, destructive. For years and years; hundreds, thousands, maybe even millions, they were a militaristic powerhouse and left their mark in every culture they could find (possibly why so many thing have traces of chromium in them). How or why they turned around and became completely Fascist is unknown. It is possibly due to a higher threat as when lines are crossed their cruelty shows.
What do they do now that they are no longer focused on conquest? Primarily they are engineers and inventors who supply various items for neighboring planets.
